What is sold at the Clinton Auto Auction?
Clinton Auto Auction sells cars, trucks, vans and other vehicles.

How long will it take to get the title for my vehicle back?
It can take anywhere from 6-8 weeks to receive your title back from the Sec. of State. If there is a problem in the system possibly longer.

How much does it cost to obtain a buyer's number at Clinton Auto Auction?
Clinton Auto Auction does not charge a fee to obtain a buyer's number. All you need is a valid drivers license. Registration begins at 7:30 AM auction day.

Can we check out the vehicle prior to the auction?
Yes, you are encouraged to do so. Our office hours are 9:00 - 4:30 M-F and the gates open at 7:30 AM on auction days so you are more than welcome to come and check out a vehicle, you just cannot take them outside the gated area.

What does "Absolute" mean?
There is no minimum selling price required. It sells no matter what.

What is IST or VUT?
IST is a dealer consigned vehicle and is subject to Illinois Sales Tax.
VUT is consigned by a private owner and is subject to Vehicle Use Tax
